Following on, albeit a long way behind, the threads on who's climbed 8b etc I was wondering what the current state of play is for British female bouldering (sorry if this is covered elsewhere, Ic ouldn't find anythignwhen I searched). What's prompted me today is seeing a bio of someone on their sponsor's site whch said they had bouldered 7C+ but I'm pretty certain it wasn't something that made the media so wondered whether bouldering at that level was now so commonplace for women in the UK that it passes unremarked on. So I was wondering how many UK women have climbed 7C+ and if most of these are long (a lot of the reported one's seem to be) how many have climbed short powerful 7Cs?

Is the UK full of female Dark Horses crushing in the high sevens and eights?

Percy's Strong Bastards thread is your best bet. Since then Shauna has done Pilgrim in the Cave of Justice (8A+), so should be added, but basically Mina has done several 8A's, and Claire Bell/Murphy has climbed 8A+. There have been quite a few female 7C+ ascents, Ben's Roof probably chief among them, but not exclusively. Partly depends on whether people think Brad Pit is 7C, or 7C+ (I'd say 7C+, but I'm biased  )
