I had to go through the torture of renewing car insurance recently. I'd been with HIC for 2 years, but they hiked the cost up to £750 from £550. That was with removing my ex GF (wish it was as simple to have her "removed" in real life) and adding my mum, as well as gaining an extra years NCB. Bit of shopping about and I'm now covered for £365 fully comp.
The difference is ridiculous and baffles me.
