Vodaphone is pants down dale. I often have to wait till Litton or sometimes Foxhouse before I can get any reception.  Can anyone recommend a better pay as you go option.

T mobile: good reception at Cornice & Two tier, but no signal at Millers Dale carpark or the Tor.

Got decent reception at Plum Buttress last night too on T-Mobile.  :P

Orange and TMobile are now in cahoots, so if you go for one in theory your phone should roam onto the other and use it as if you had started out there. That said, this may not be the case with PAYG.

I get two bars intermittent on orange beneath Mecca, nowt under the Powerband.

Just enough O2 for a text or crackly dropping out call at Wubicon and where the cars park at the Tor. I say we petition the mobile companies to pop up a nice big mast half way down the dale so we can all 3G ourselves up.. Eyesore, what eyesore.. :)

Likewise although fuck all at the unmentionable place which is really annoying. Many times as I've hurtled backwards off the crag the idea that I might break my leg and be left to drag myself up the hill to get a signal has flashed through my mind.

Orange seems pretty good - like Doblog says its intermittent at the Tor, but I had five bars at Two Tier today.

This is good for finding where the nearest transmitter is...

Of course the mobile co's websites are good but I kind of like the above as you can figure it out for yourself..

Getting a new phone contract, decided to go for sim only plan and get a smartphone 2nd hand off sleeze bay, the "3" network seems to have a pretty good deal, 200 minutes and unlimted internet for 12 pounds a month, key question is what is it like down the dale? Its meant to use t-mobile and orange masts so it should be good but just wondering whether anyone has any personal experience?
