Toad Hall - RIP

Drove past this last week and noticed that the entire crag has been netted over! That’s the end of that.
Another case of taxpayer’s money being pissed away on paranoid, excessive and unnecessary health and safety measures.

I also noticed this the other day. Seems totally unnecessary. Plus, if they'd allowed access we'd have either removed the loose bits or stuck them back on for free.

Yeah, I noticed that a few weeks ago, seemed a bit over the top, I guess some geologist must have deemed it unstable, its only been around for a few millennium.
Fortunately the road that runs past the tor is a quiet cul de sac so we should be ok.

It's been that way for a good few months. They went a bit nuts with tree felling and netting stuff along the A6 over winter. Must have had some spare cash  I didn't realise that was Toad Hall, looks like a potentially great crag  :wavecry:

Someone's got to keep the rope access boys busy?

When we attempted access negotiations Chatsworth were not keen and basically said it was futile as the crag would be netted in the future. As you say - thats the end of that...
