The Himalayan Research expedition team are holding a fundraising event on the evening of Friday 24th June at Rokt climbing centre in Brighouse-an all night event to climb the cumulative height of Mera Peak as a team (6476m). The climb will be completed using top rope and lead routes which vary in difficulty. It is estimated that this attempt will take over 13 hours, with members climbing through the night and finishing late in the morning, much like an exhausting summit attempt on Mount Everest! To achieve this will require physical and mental endurance and lots of team support especially for the beginners in the team.
