Sheffield car alarm help, please
May 31, 2011, 09:36:19 pm
The alarm on our '99 Corolla has gone crazy mental. Just keeps going off. The remote has no effect on it. Using the master key has no effect. I tried driving it for a bit, but the alarm continued to sound. Strangely, the lights/indicators are not flashing at all while the siren is sounding (this does happen when the alarm goes off as it's supposed to). Battery seems fine (all electrics on at once, elec windows go up and down at full speed).

I've disconnected the battery to stop the noise (ears blocked with cotton wool to cope with unreasonably loud alarm)

Anyone got any recommendations of someone in Sheffield who could fix this sort of problem?

Autotronix would be my recommendation - 0114 264 8038 or 07778 396 654.

Sorted

I cleaned/poked/tapped everything that had anything to with the alarm system, blinked three times, touched my nose, said the magic word and POW! it seems to be OK now.

My hearing has almost returned to normal.
