He was rational, IMHO.
I've been there. I've attended (it's me at 0:37 sec). I've seriously ripped skin across my right hand palm (3-4 cm long and deep break).
I think the hold on top was very bad. It was not of massive jug. It had relatively thin edge, like grabbing an edge of a clay pot.

I love that story. The best bit about it was that Skyler Weak hadn't actually suggested the 8C+ grade, it was created entirely by ridiculous speculation by Jens on 8a.nu (based on how long it had taken Weak to do the dyno).

So when Hobson repeated it, and pronounced it 7B+, on 8a.nu he took the 8C+ grade. He's changed it now unfortunately as I thought it was fucking hilarious.
