Font traverses and link-ups
April 20, 2011, 12:48:46 pm
Off to Font on Friday for a week and am currently embroiled in training to try and tick my vast backlog of unfinished sport limestone routes so was wondering if anyone's got any recomendations for good traverses or boulder link-up's that I can use for PE training?

Knowing me the whole idea of training will go out the window as soon as I hit the forest as I run about like a dog with 5 dicks and waste all my skin... But having a good list of things to go at may keep me on the path of righteousness.... :look:

Preferably I'd be looking for 25-40 moves around F6c - F7a+ without obvious cruxes... Skin friendly would be a bonus as would them being in areas with plenty of other superb up problems so I can slope off (pardon the pun) much to the amusment of my mates. I'd be more than happy doing circuits on a single bloc so if anyone knows a suitable venue for this even it'd be much appreciated.

Cheers,

:D

I thought for a minute that you'd just asked about wasting your time doing traversing training while you're in Font. Must have been smoking crack, sorry.

What Font really needs is the problems numbering in such a way that you can climb one, come down, get straight on another of a similar grade and continue in kind of a 'circuit' fashion :)
I'll be there from Saturday

Ha. What craziness! Next thing you'll be saying that this idea might be good fitness training for Alpine routes or something.

Fuck me you must have a lot of very good tips; any trip I take to font longer than 2 days is an exercise in skin management. Or as Jasper says, you have very good drugs.
