Font with kids
May 13, 2011, 10:51:00 am
Ladies & gentlemen i need a bit of guidance from those that know. I am booked in Eurocamp Paris with the extended family 28 May - 4 June (half term so going to be busy). I reckon i can nip off for a couple of days trips with my little lads (4yo and 2yo). Where do suggest i take them for some nice and easy first font bouldering?

Canche is good, Rocher Canon white circuit is fairly friendly too.

Looked like an easy white kids circuit at Roche aux Sablons when we were there the other week.

Has anyone tried the white circuits at Beauvais Telegraph? I'm taking the brother-in-law + 5 yo son out on Saturday, and it's a bit quicker drive from Paris.

My missus can't even do some of the problems, maybe it's easier for the small?

+1 for Canche. Though I mostly find that my kids much prefer playing in the huge sandpits compared to climbing there...

Roche au Sabots had a really big kids circuit if I remember correctly and seemed like a perfect place for families. Is that were you were on about Slackline?

 Yes, Paul B already corrected the same mistake I made, clearly hasn't sunk in.

Yeap, Canche aux Merciers is really great, but try to avoid it on week-end as it can be packed down there or if when you arrive you see a bus, it means that there is a big group up here.
Another area, much quieter, is JA Martin which covers 7 circuits on whole levels and massive sand pitches.

If that is the Beauvais I am thinking of then the 2 white circuits are close to the carpark, it is a flat area and the 2 circuits are quite often on the same lowish boulders, one circuit is slightly harder than the other.

Usually fairly quiet compared to the other places suggested. I like it there.

Just got back and everyone had a thoroughly good morning. The white circuit is very low, so perfect for a 5 year old. There is also an orange (E), yellow + orange (AD), so a really nice spot for taking kids and beginners. Right next to the parking and we were the only people there. There are numerous other harder circuits, but we had our work cut out spotting the nephew to do much. Nice and shady too.
