There still seems to be tickets on gigsandtours website. And they've added a third date. I've managed to get a couple.

As much as I have waited/prayed for this day for many years, now it has actually come around, the potential for it to be a massive disappointment has overpowered my will to try and get tickets. I hope (especially for everyone who has got tickets) that the Ian that turns up is not the one I saw 3 years ago. To say it was bad, would be a huge understatement.

I bet thousands are think that, but I'm willing to take that risk. It was always John Squire I was obsessed with anyway.

Last time I saw them Ian's voice wasn't the best I've seen him do but the band transcended that. With Reni too its got the potential to go to another level. And yet Reni's was one of the few gigs I've walked out of it was so shit. The magic has always been in the mix, and its not something that can be consistently delivered. Even if they're all over the place, I'm 100% sure there will still be moments of genius that eclipse everything. If you want to see a consistent and reliable band I'd suggest Coldplay.

I saw Ian Brown about 2 years ago and expected him to be pretty shit. He was surprisingly good.

Does hospitality at a Stone Roses gig seem intrinsically wrong? Given all the variables I decided not to enter the fray and hope they do some gigs a bit closer to us.

Ian Brown is overjoyed, saying: "We plan on spending the rest of the day jumping up and down with our hands in the air."
Hope they get some practice in as well

Did you miss the point completely here, where did I suggest I wanted something 'consistent and reliable'?

I am a huge fan of the creative spontaneity, unpredictability and intrigue of the Roses, however I am not a fan of the tombola that is Ian Brown's vocal performance. Yes the genius of John and Reni may mask it in parts, but if you haven't seen Ian Brown live since the day heady days of the Roses, you may be in for a shock.

Hopefully he'll prove me and many others wrong, because if so I'll eat my own words.

I've seen IB twice since the roses, and both were great gigs.

Me and one of my mates were both on all three of the official ticket sites and didn't manage to get any tickets for any of the days. Hopefully with the demand there are going to be a good number of uk gigs. I always thought that IBs vocals were the variable in the roses mix. As long as squires is on form I don't really think the vocals matter. (Not that I'll be seeing it at this rate)
