The 7a+ that everyone does is only 6b/c with the heel/toe (which unless you are very short you can reach with your hands on the two key slopey crimps). Ie. the slap to the jug is an eliminate move.
i refer you to this http://ukbouldering.com/boardindex.php/topic,8803.0.html

I just mean it's only 7a+ if you use the traditional method - going to the jug from the position shown in the photo. If you move your feet around to get a heel/toe out right, it's much easier. Hence, 7a+ is either the wrong grade, or an eliminate.

word. i misunderstood the eliminate bit.

on reflection it is pretty steady for the grade but conditions/beta do make a big difference.

I still don't understand how n-man's prob can climb roughly the same line as this but be 5m away on the other side of Dick Williams. Explain please

I believe he said it was on the same basic line as Dick Williams...

I'm sure he'll be along to conclude this merry conversation at some point.

Oh, I understand now. Tah.
It would seem SUG is the same line as Nigel's problem and the line marked as Nigel's problem in the Burbage guide does not correspond to any actual problem (and is probably too tight a line to become a reality)

"just to the right, of the photo of Patch Hammond on Dick Williams as shown in Ru's guide p121",

Didn't name or grade - just pure climbing pleasure, as per the sequence that I described.

Seems that the new set of problems DW and LHM take more obvious lines and take precendence. However, would be a good one for the obsessive with not mich better to do.

In case you're interested in another sequence - up with LH first then rock up off R heel (just left of his R foot in photo) and rand hook via RH sloper to jug - thumby and fairly static.
