Just to warn people that  the second bolt on Clarion Call at the Cornice is now sans bolt hanger. The bolt's still there but the hanger and nut are now at the bottom of the route. Luckily it wasn;t fallen on, it just  clattered down the rope at the end of a redpoint attempt, no idea why! Left the metal work obviously on the ledges at the foot of the route. There is now a dangerous runout between the 1st and 3rd bolt.

Nuts can sometimes be prone to working loose, a locking nut solves the problem.

My pal wanted to try it last night and all we could see was a nut on the floor and no hanger missing from 2nd bolt. maybe someone took it to replace it when they brought a spanner?

If anyones heading down and got a spare hanger it would be worth taking for such a popular route. Think i've got a spare that I can fetch down if someone hasn't already.
