Hi,  Just wondered if anyone knew the results from the 1st day bouldering in the Outdoor show in London.

My first time watching a live bouldering comp - and good fun it was too.

Does anyone know the official score result for Diane's 4th problem? The one the commentator said she'd "topped out" so she droped off when she still had a hold to go? Did they count that as an attempt? Seemed a bit harsh...

Apparently the judges were telling her, very loudly, that she hadn't topped, so it didn't count. And I assume the top hold was marked with tape.

Yeah, that's what I thought... The fact it wasn't taped should've been enough to push on, just curious as she seemed to match and drop off as soon as the commentator said she'd finished. Not sure if would've made a difference in the results though.
He seemed to get quite a bollocking after that.

Good routes I thought, the ladies routes seemed more interesting than the men's IMO

First comp I'd been to watch live too, enjoyed it a lot. Also thought the women's problems looked more interesting/harder to work out than the men's. Was very impressed by Shauna C flashing all the probs!

Very pleased to see Westway routesetter Liam Halsey cranking his way into the final. Very modest/quiet about his considerable climbing ability, but he is an undercover beast!

It could be cleared up quite easily if only the belayers would come forward to identify themselves....
