Don't know, never used iCloud.  :P

Dropbox gives you some free online storage, you can pay for more.  Works well in my experience (use on two desktops, a laptop and phone).

I get ( but don't use yet) 5mb free. How does that compare?
Excuse me!

2Gb free, although you get a fraction more if referred as does the referrer (250Mb each) and the more people you referrer the more free space you can get upto 8Gb.

You can pay for upto 100Gb of storage.

Other free options include using Amazon Simple Storage Service (no idea if there are apps for this)

Cheers.

Ian, on my version of Android, choosing None just removes a pattern/pin lock if you chose one of those. It doesn't remove screenlock entirely. Apparently there's an app for that? ;)

You're right - I've had the no lock app for so long I'd forgotten that when you switch off the lock via the settings you still need to sweep the screen to access.

I'm not sure whether this proves that android is great because you can customise it to work exactly how you want or it's rubbish because you have to customise it to work how you want  :-\

Everyone will have a different view on what they want, so customising is a good thing.

is removing the lock screen entirely such a good idea? I forsee a large data bill due to pocket surfing.

If you can't do if via settings then there's several apps that can disable the lock screen.

As Paul says, it's not a great idea to permanently remove it as you're likely to set it off in your pocket, etc but it's useful if the phone is charging or is sat on your desk, etc when the lock screen can become a pain.

HTC ChaCha turns the screen off automatically after a changable amount of time, and you need to turn it back on with the tiny power button, which is nigh-on impossible to do accidentally. Hence the screenlock is superfluous in the first place!

is it wise to turn off the lock screen from a security perspective? could have cookies for online banking, access to your gmail with all sorts of useful stuff in - all things you don't want to get into the wrong hands.

Back to apps, for a moment, anyone else using "Flipboard"? Excellent, and I seem to be able to access magazines etc that are usually subscription only; free...
Allows searching and customising of your "news paper" very easily. And you can instantly delete the inbuilt "life style" and "fashion" sections.... Bliss!

A taster version of the North Wales Limestone app for iPhone has just been released today and is available for free dowload from the app store - search for North Wales Limestone. Thank Steve Golley / The Send for the ace framework. http://www.thesend.co.uk/

The full version of the app will hopefully be available from the App Store around the same time as the guidebook hits the shelves this year, and will contain the same definitive coverage as the printed guide. An Android version is planned for the full app but not the taster. If you have any fedback about the app please get in touch via the link on The Send website or email/pm me.

Yeah  :dance1:

It's been mentioned in the BM training app thread, but the Impetus Plus timer is proper class. Very handy for programming any possible sequences of rest/work loops for training.

I've just written up HowTo mount Box storage under Gentoo Linux using WebDAV (a network file system).

I expect you can do the same under M$ variants.

TuneIn Pro only £0.20 at the moment, main advantage of the pro version is you can record streams (might be able to schedule recordings using Tasker too, so you don't miss non-archived shows, but not looked into it).
