Nothing from me, I just use the built in player with mp3/ogg (don't have any wma so never an issue here).

Overall I have been pretty impressed with what the Go developers have been doing and all of their apps are worth a look IMO - their Go Contacts app is a bloody good replacement for the standard dialler - check it out.

This is also good.......

These are changing daily (presumably for 10 days).

Todays selection (Read it Later Pro is probably the only worthwhile one for me).

For those on Twitter follow @Android for updates.

Touch Calendar has various size widgets (4x1, 4x2, 4x3 & 4x4) in the paid version - syncs with Google Calendar. Been using it for a while now and very impressed with it.

Jorte is free and has every combination from 1x1, 1x2, 1x3 etc. up to 5x5 widget panels. Fairly customisable (anything from day, week, month, adgenda, to-do lists etc) and syncs with google too.

Bit ugly though; writing is ridiculously tiny by default

Hello Android people, cave man Golt looking for some help. I want to somehow get all my texts off my Wildfire and on to my PC in some sort of readable document. Is this possible?

Never done it myself, but one of these should do the trick.

Most seem to backup SMS's to gmail, but some seem to save to SD card, one looks like it saves as XML files which are readable, but you'll probably want to strip/format them in some manner afterwards.

SMS Backup+ could be what you are looking for - backs all your texts up to Google Mail - there is probably a way to just get it to back up to the SD card as well.

Weird, I replied to this earlier but it got lost...

I use Go SMS Pro from that list, it is a much better SMS manager than the standard Android one. Has a backup and restore (B&R under services) that will backup to XML. Just did a test and the XML imports nicely into Excel.

Nice one Obi, they've just started reducing the features on the free version for the last few updates.

Don't know if anyone else has had this problem but I always found it slightly annoying that Gmail under Android only notified me of messages in my Inbox, of which I get very few as I've set up lots of nested labels and filters to siphon things off.

I discovered how to customise Gmail Notifications yesterday :2thumbsup:

Hope some of you find it useful (NB web-page will be slow loading!).

Found the iGeology app for iPhone/pad is great when hunting new venues. Gives a 1:50,000 geological map of the entire country, laid over OS. Interfaces with GPS and pop up text giving detail surface geology and overlying sediments.
Good for those dog/kid walks that might just turn up the forgotten quarry or boulder field.
