Pimp my woodie
December 17, 2010, 12:49:18 pm
Im the member of a fairly large privately owned woodie and we have go to a point where we have covered the basics and have enough money in the kittie to start looking into luxury items to make our unit a nicer place to climb.

We already have a couple of radiators so the next thing were looking for is some kind of air-conditioning/dust extraction unit combo thats portable. Does anyone have any experience of such units?

I think our unit is around 500 cubic metres.

All that stuff is important, but what you really need is a glitterball like I have in mine.
Here's a pic of Norton inspired by its beauty

Hope that isn't glass in the doors? Accident potential!

I'm afraid it is - but (touch wood) after over 3 years of use no-one has ever come close to hitting it.
The doors are often open - even when its cold as it can get a bit sweaty/chalky/greasy

Dolly is clearly on the money, we need a mirror ball, and some lasers.

and of course a decent sound system.
I've got a pair of JPW mini monitors on the wall which are great for a small space and a Sony subwoofer behind for a bit of oomph

Nice slopers Dolly!  ;)

Cheers - just let me know if you get any more  :)
I think we're gradually moving away from all other types of hold and just making it a wall of slopeyness.
We tried to do a crimp problem the other night, but its just not as much fun as falling off slopers.

Perhaps see if these guys can help you "pimp" your "woodie"  :P

Could make for some interesting holds, there's even a special one for Dolly!

All that stuff is important, but what you really need is a glitterball like I have in mine.

I've got one ready, complete with motor. All I need is woody, which is currently on hold as I've been told we are going to be moving house next year by management.

Nice one mate. Good to see you've got the priorities right. Some people make the mistake of starting with a woodie and building it up from there - adding stuff like glitter balls and dry ice afterwards

Not a replacement, the original 'Chapel' was running at the same time as the Hayloft briefly. but since its demise a couple of the Haylofters have moved to the Chapel.
