protest! Tunisia, Egypt, Libya.. who next
March 01, 2011, 06:16:50 pm
Watching the news and reading documents about the protesting in these countries and overthrowing governments through political pressure has me questioning who is next?

Other questions arise such as: where did the protests start?  Why do other countries such as the UK and USA get involved - although I feel there is always an agenda in any political environment.

Who is next?  If it was Saudi Arabia, with the special interest in the family in charge and the links to the US and oil it makes me think about the complications.  I still think we are all fucked and I only ask questions, my view is that we should have a none intervention foreign policy.

Finland next

They're going to get rid of the oppressive Nokia regime and get down to some democratic vodka use. No longer will people be locked up for testing high on a breathalyser.

Failing that, they'll kick out all the Swedish migrant workers flooding over the border and taking their jobs.

It doesn't take a genius to work out why the green pigs on Angry Birds say "fi fahn" and have yellow crosses on their little flags. Good viral campaign.

But I am told (by a Sunni) that, as in Bahrain, it's those pesky Shias that are stirring it up.

But you would hear that from someone with a Sunni disposition.

He's just chillin watching a Soprano's box set with a few tubes..

And far from being a cultural backwater cut off from the rest of the world, North Korea is obviously a hotspot of fashion - as here Kim is wearing a pair of the latest "shat yourself" trousers - modelled with a Putin style pose. Watch out zoolander...

With diesel already £1.35/l at the pump you have to wonder how far and fast prices will go and what this will do to the supposed UK recovery.

Maybe the good folk of Dorset, Wiltshire and Somerset are going to rise up. Only they are confusing revolution with evolution, and are demanding opposable digits and binocular vision.
