Hmmm :spam: ?

Don't know, it does actually link to a review, so maybe not.

Fair enough, sorry. There has been a spate of spammers on the forum fairly recently.

A good indication of whether something is SPAM is whether the linked site is selling anything, which doesn't appear to be the case here.

Is it worth linking a full URL rather than a shortened one too? Can a mod sort this out? The shortened one does add to the spam feel.

They're selling lies:

Are we expected to believe that our Saltbeef would fall off a lowly font 6a?

That is what made me wondered in the first place. The link does looks weird.

The review itself is good, since i'm looking for a new mat currently.

I'm afraid Saltbeef did fall off...but only once!

Since its a blog why not see if the Inserct Overlords would be interested in incorporating it in the Blog Pile.  Would certainly be useful to have well researched and written reviews on the site.

:spam: or not, just don't buy that pad.
don't know what guy who reviewed that pad was doing in 12 months but mine went form brand new to completely useless in 3 months. black diamonds pads are the worst pads on market and i would buy one anymore

That's fair enough.

Like I say, we want people to share their experiences of products we review, makes a more meaningful review that way.

We leave the reviews open to comment (at the bottom of the review) so feel free to comment there, then others can read it as part of the review.

You can also comment via our Facebook page: Climbing Gear Reviews UK

I'd want to see evidence that Saltbeef had actually got high enough on MR to fall.  I think that photo's fake

I had exactly the same experience with my Black Diamond pad. Feels like falling onto a sponge now. The foam is shit.

In two of the photos in the review there is another pad underneath it.

Not really a great endorsement.  ???

Pretty dodgy review.

Saying that it's a great pad except for the crap foam is like saying a car is really good except for the shit motor. You'll look good sitting in it when it's parked but don't actually try to drive it anywhere.

The mark of a quality pad is in the foam, not the bells and whistles.

I would never buy a BD pad.
