I'm forecasting the snow will be too cold to consolidate into anything substantial without considerable mechanical aid (stomping and shovelling) before the temps hike. I hope I'm wrong though.

Trick would be to get out this afternoon and shovel like crazy, get cornices knocked off, rock bare and landings built and compacted. With the hard freeze predicted tonight you might have a chance. Ai no corrida and Three Blind Mice usually a good bet.

Reportage from the ground: it looks good! Got the shovel, slow going. Will update as things progress.

How are the roads out Remus?

I drove out to the fox house and walked from there, cruisy.

Loads of snow about but rock is pretty wet already. Gonna get to work on ai no corrida and three blind mice to see if they'll dry out in the sun.

Worth bringing a rope and a broom if you're heading out, quite a bit of snow stuck to the faces which needs cleaning off

Built a good platform under three blind mice. It was looking nice and dry when I left, would have had a go if I had pads and shoes with me.

Also built a bit of a platform under ai no corrada. There was quite a bit of snow stuck to the face which I couldnt get too, might melt off and dry out but it was pretty drippy when I left.

Forgot to add, I walked in from the fox house parking and it was a total pain. Walked out via the valley path which was much better, though the approach to the crag is hard work, especially the last few meters where the snow is chest deep.

Nice one Remus.
I eventually got to Nefertiti/Happily Ever After but there was a huge amount of snow melting down them, so didn't bother digging them off as I doubt they'd dry tomorrow anyway.

looks mega - is parking at burbage bridge and walking in along the top of the crag not feasible atm?

I'm keen to check them out, I've also never done nicotene stain as well. I might try and clean that up along with enthusiast and right fin.

I can bring pads, but haven't found any other willing participants so not sure how many I can carry in and out.

Also gotta get there from london, so hope the roads aren't a disaster.

With the caveat that I haven't been out it sounds like Ringinglow Road is partially clear from Sheffield, but not as far as Burbage Bridge. My guess would be approaching from Hathersage would be tricky in anything other than a 4x4.

That's the spirit. Gets yourself up here. Last time there was any snowballing was 13 years ago, don't miss out. I'm pretty certain there'll be a few peeps out on 3 blind mice. Ain't nothing else climbable.

Seems a few people went out and did these today. My mate said thank you for taking the time to clean them!

We built up the platform this morning to get a bit more depth into the landing. Pleasant problem. Nice one, Remus.

Thanks for digging the snow off the top of Remus. I don't think any of the 30+ (!) people there today would have got anything done if you hadn't.
Although Will did say there was some dry rock over at Burbage West too. Something about a nice 7B wall on sidepulls, that drops off at the break..

We walked along as far as Famous Grouse which was dry, along with plenty of other stuff in between. West Side Story was in mint nick. Dropped the top out first go and thought I'd have to settle for the tourist tick. Had a rest, spoke to Isaac Buckley (surrealy), warmed my toes up, then did it again with the top out. Perfect 7B in the connies.
