Why does the newbie  have to be a she  :-\ ......

Statistics never lie right?

WTF does that all mean?

Haha! Click on the audience tab. Apparently we're all women (and possibly into revenge)

I love that "I roll around with my shit off safety" is the 8th most popular search that brings people to UKB.

No scale or numbers on the gender tab, but my eyes are telling me there's only a minor excess of males.

Quite how it resolves usernames like mine into a sex when there is no listing of sex in user profiles would be interesting.

Yo. I'm new. Not to these kinds of forums, just to this one. Moved to London from the states a few weeks ago, so it makes sense to at least lurk here.

Cheers.

Thinking about it I lurked here for a long time before posting anything, to get a feel for what the site is like. I've since found the site to be very welcoming in a sort of piss-takery sort of way. UKBs best asset for me is the wealth of knowledgeable people on the forums, and there is usually excellent advice on injuries, training and all sorts without having to sort the wheat from the chaff.
Can be fairly intimidating on first inspection, but once you're used to it, it's fine.

Welcome, hope you're enjoying London, and have made it up north to climb on some good rocks, which is your local wall?

Hello,

I'm new too. I’ve been lurking for a while so thought it about time I piped up.
Think I know a few of those who post on here having been to font in april with a bunch of scousers.

I’ll probably spend some time asking stupid questions about training which have been answered a hundred times before.

having been to font in april with a bunch of scousers.

Given the unpleasantness of that, the initiation rtiuals to be allowed into UKB will be a doddle.

(now where's me cricket bat).

Advice noted!

I'll also need to read up on this quoting malarky because I'm bound to get that wrong and appear completely computer illiterate (which is only half true).

I am enjoying London. Nice city.
Haven't made it up north yet. Intend to soon, but really enjoyed the one day I spent clipping bolts at Portland.
Local wall is Mile End. The Castle is close too.

Long time lurker, migrant from the other channel and felt it was time to sign up as a newbie - here for a hug :please:; am I too late?

Don't live in Sheffield and only boulder very rarely :o but do still manage to climb occasionally.
