Palazzo Jerzu

Loads of people come here to combine a beach holiday with climbing. If more came, I could find partners to go and work my project  :( :(

Here's a video of an 8a/+, bolted two years ago and freed for the first time today

Good boulder problem, eh?

I was there the last two weeks, mainly for a family holiday with wife & son, but climbed a couple of days and looked at some rock on other days.

The huge impressive walls between Dorgali and Oliena (Punta Cosidore??) are high up, north-facing and look really good. The wall above the parking place at the bridge for Goroppu Canyon looks great, faces east and is in shade in the afternoon. There seem to be enough different rock aspects in Cala Fuili to find somewhere to climb in the shade most of the time - although I saw an Italain guy working a thin, technical and hard-looking vertical wall just across from Tailandia in the early afternoon in the full sun - odd foreign behaviour.

(Posada otoh would be a contender for the ongoing sh!te crags thread)

The further you go up the Codula, the better it is in the summer (futher from the beach, air drier)
