Heads up to any one travelling to Font with L&D - just found the following email in my inbox:
Dear Customer,
LD ANNOUNCES END OF PASSENGER SERVICE DOVER BOULOGNE
As a result of financial considerations and reduced passenger numbers, we regret to inform you that passenger services between Dover and Boulogne will close on 5th September, 2010.
Unfortunately this will affect your departure from Dover to Boulogne on 20th September at 13h00 and in compensation for the disappointment and disruption caused, we would be pleased if you would accept a voucher equivalent to the cost of your Dover and Boulogne ticket which is valid for travel on an alternative LD Lines route during the next twelve months subject to availability.
All clients with reservations from 6th September will be offered alternative transport or a refund for the cost of their ticket and in order to arrange this please contact us:
* By return of e mail with details of your 10 digit reservation number and dates of travel
* From 08.00 to 18.00 at our free number 0800 917 12 01 from UK or 0800 650 100 from France.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
