Shareware PDF merge software for mac

In the absence of losing Adobe Acrobat professional, I'm looking for a free application to merge multiple PDF files (cue joke) if anybody knows of something suitable for mac. Cheers.

I've used this open-source freebie for windows and it's pretty good. It's written in Java so there's a mac installer too:

Eh?  Does this mean you don't want to use Adobe?

Another option might be PDF-Shuffler (plus it has a GUI, although you'd still need to install manually and ensure that you have GTK libraries installed, but thats not too hard as you can use Portage on OSX).

Another option is this one (but my French is shite and I've not the time to investigate further).

I migrated the lesser used applications to some DVD's. The problem being that I've lost the DVD for now.

However, why I didn't know this is a mystery. In OSX 10.5, you can just open all the PDF's you want to merge in the native OS Preview, click > View, Sidebar then doing this to each window, just drag the PDF into the Sidebar of one main document. Et voila, Save it off as a merged copy.

All is explained on Mac OSX hints

So simple! I can't believe I didn't know this!

There's tons of things I can't believe I didn't know until I do!

Mainly the enlightenment comes about out of some desire/need/necessity.  :P

Best of all you can look like a whiz by letting everyone else in the office know how to do it.
