Hi

Hoping the collective knowledge of UKB can help me. Going to Beynac-et-Cazenac, Dordogne for a week in mid-September, and am hoping there is some bouldering nearby (to sneak off to!) If there is what guidebooks would you recommend?

its all limestone in that area so it tends to be more routes than bouldering.i've climbed st a couple of crags in that area one was 30 metres high so not much use for bouldering.the other place was near bergerac which i found by asking in the tourist information who then sent me to the local butcher who had climbed abit and he drew a cross on my map where there was a crag.
this crag would be ok for bouldering at the bottom.
there is also bouldering at les eclairs but thats about an hours drive to the north.
having read this through i guess this is not a lot of help.

Cheers Webbo, I had a bad feeling that that would be the case.

http://www.ffme.fr/site/FALAISE_liste.php?DEPARTEMENT=24&SNE_NOM=

A list of sites in Dordogne, FFME sometimes miss some small sites, and I imagine you could find something to climb there.
