Anyone worked in Canada?

I'm tempted by the whole Canada thing but have heard stories recently of a general 6 day week / long hours culture and 15 days holiday as the norm....

I'd be grateful of any real experiences to validate one way or t'other...

Have worked/lived here in Vancouver for the past 4 1/2 years - couldn't ever imagine moving back to the UK - have found it refreshingly unamerican in terms of working culture - life/work balance is a genuine concern - there are always exceptions of course - canada is a veeeery big place.
