Flippin Golf injury - any ideas
May 25, 2010, 02:56:27 pm
Played golf for the first time in 3 years. Got up in the morning and could hardly close hands and had bruising on the inside of wrist. (yes it i laughed too as i am obviously pretty shit at golf) Now ive just noticed a lump on a tendon coming off my little finger. What the hell is this? It feels swelled and is painful to press? Its in the palm/side of my hand. How would i treat this? Any ideas.  :'(

On a serious note, are you sure the lump comes from the tendon?  It may just be localised bruising/haematoma.  Or does it move?

Usual advice- RICE and see someone if it ain't settling.  Sorry, and get well soon.

Ha ha, yeh im going to think twice about trying smash the ball into oblivian again.

Yeh im guessing its hard to describe, youd have to see it. Its definately like a swelling on the tendon, but does affect hanging finger strength. I reckon it will hurt holding a jug tho.

Anyway, Rice it is.
