Visiting the parents in Oman over Christmas from 21st Dec - 9th Jan, was wondering if anyone has been and done any climbing there or knows where to get some potential parters?

Also does the UAE guide cover much of Oman?

I know that there is an article on Oman in this  month's "Climbing" mag out here in the USA - the climbing out there looks stunning.

Yup, they live in Muscat. Had a look at the omanclimbing website and just waiting for the admin to activate my account. Parents said there was an indoor wall not far from their house as well so may pop in when I'm there.

Some of those big trad routes do look nice!

I'd love to see that. Do you have the magazine and could scan the article? There's no way of buying it out here.

Yep - I'll see if I can pick up a copy this week and I'll scan it when I get access to a scanner - probably after Christmas, as I'm in Mexico climbing til then - send me a PM and I'll do my best
