Hi all, visiting friends this weekend in Tunbridge Wells so was wondering which Southern Sandstone bouldering venues would you recommend for....

1 -a  family afternoon out, a few beginners aged 11-40

2- an hour or two session for me, preferably on some steeper ground with range of font sixes to mid sevens.

We won't have a rope but will have a bouldering mat.

Thanks!

Jon

 Hi Jon,

High rocks has the highest concentration of good problems, the only down side is you have to pay to get in. It also could well be damp so its a bit of a risk with paying. Cant be climbed in damp as holds break.
You could ask the hotel owner if you can have a look in first to see if majority of rock dry and if so then pay.
Otherwise Bowles has fandango wall which due to the large roof overhanging at the top tends to stay dry a bit longer.
Stone farm as the other person said, but, it isnt as close to tunbridge.

Good luck
