thanks guys but its more the difference between the shoes for an individual im wanting to know, rather than the difference between a booster and a normal street shoe.

Cheers

Tim. If it helps I've had about 3 or 4 pairs each of both stix and boosters and a pair of magos and always went for exactly the same size in all 3 shoes. Never felt afterwards that I should have gone a size up or down.

Whats the final verdict on the stretch on these shoes then? Would it be get the smallest you can get into or the next half/full size up? I can get into the 41.5, which makes the heel seem less baggy, but I want to know there's definitely going to be a light at the end of the tunnel.

Get them as small as possible and take the pain!  :o

They will stretch a bit and be perfect until they wear out. The pair I had that fitted well out of the box were disappointing after a few weeks of use.

I'm tempted by Rock & Run's 45 quid offer.

Is Scarpa sizing consistent? I tried on Feroces recently: 43 was comfortable, I could get into 42.5.

Or would I just be throwing away money at my current punterish level? (Around 6a/b V1/2, but hoping to improve by diligent training before Arco at Easter)

At £45 you won't be wasting money.

I got some 40's from rock and run - I thought that was UK7 but it's UK 6.5....

Very snug... initially excruciatingly painful, getting better though. How bad have others found the pain? It's worst standing on my big toes - edges are bareable.

Got 13 days to send them back - should I keep them?

My pair of 42s stretched out nicely.  The 41s are still very painful, but getting better.  Not knowing how tight they are it's hard to advise, but they do stretch a decent amount.

hmmm they don't feel overly tight to be honest. Think part of it may be just not being used to the shape they're being forced into. tempted to man up and keep them, but then also concerned about doing some actual damage to my feet - is this BMC article being ott? http://www.thebmc.co.uk/Feature.aspx?id=3156

anyone know how strict r&r's return policy is - i'd say they're unused - but i do keep putting them on to see if they hurt any less and you can see it beginning to stretch where its tightest on my toes!

I'd suspect that as long as you've only tried them on inside you'll be OK.
