Epic 6-year bump, but just wondered if much has changed since this was written?

No chance there's anywhere local that rents mats I suppose, or has bouldering taken up enough now?

I was there doing yoga, rather than climbing, as I was very tired and pregnant at the time. As far as I remember there was a little bar on the waterfront of Dahab that did climbing trips, I think they may have rented pads out.

Cool - was looking at the St. Catherine's stuff. The boulders do indeed look massive, so hopefully will be able to get a pad from somewhere/someone.
We're doing 2 weeks from Egypt -> Jordon & Jerusalem
Not a climbing trip, but will chuck the shoes in.
