OK, so I have a contract with 3 (which I'm told is pretty much living in the 80s) that's giving me beef. The LG Viewty hunk of crap I own has shit battery life and now only lasts after a full charge for 20 mins. I've spoken to 3 today and without me paying a one off upgrade charge (as my contract is not over yet) the only option has been to step my priceplan down to a one month rolling contract at 15 quid a month and to live with the problem. I'll probably write to them one month before my contract was formerly due to end and get off the network anyway.
In the meantime, I've tried putting my SIM in my mum's unlocked Samsung phone but it refers to the PUK being blocked and doesn't appear to give me any option to input a PUK code. I'm up shit creek without a working phone and not exactly supping Cristal at the moment so any advice on what I might do as cheaply as possible to continue using a phone would be more than appreciated.
