Any thoughts on what state it's likely to be in at the mo? Roads ok too?

Cheers

This dude has just ticked this, which has a top out that needs to be dry and snow free so all could be good there!?

That's one impressive quick tick list. I'm suprised that noone picked up on the repeat of the Ace  :o

All problems were wet in places this morning bar power pinch, was mint on Tuesday but quite hard to warm up at -5! about 4 degrees today, road fine, parking interesting.

Hmmm..... Is that 'wet but enough still do-able to be worthwhile' or 'wet and not really worth bothering with'? Sounding a bit more like the latter to me...

That depends on one's level of enthusiasm, nothing beyond repair of a stepladder, some towels and chalk!

Bon today bar ice on a few holds around far left of the ladder face. backside toputs full of snow but everything else mint - pretty grippy. Road and parking also fine.

Hey up,
Any chance the bowstone will be ok? I'm guessing it may be a dripping melting foggy gop fest as it is  in Kendal at the moment (at folks house)...?
Failing that what's the lowdown on the luurcal Walls?
Cheers,
Tom

Does anyone know what conditions are like at the moment?

Thinking of going Tuesday and sleeping over in the van to get another session in on Wednesday before going back down the M6 via Trowbarrow!

Cheers!

p.s. If there are any locals who are heading down that'd be great as I don't really know what the rules are (no V10's/dragons/drop knees/heels??  :spank:)

Was there yesterday. Didnt have a guide or a mat, but there were deffinitely dry bits, the face under the stairs was ok in the main, with the odd drainage line. The lines on the face left of the staits (that crack) were dry. It was drizzling a little when we were there, but dry underneat. that was about 2? yesterday.

Down the stone today.

Pretty dry on the ladder face, up to finish holds which are wet, crimps on impropa wet.

They should dry up pretty quick though if the rain holds off, it was not raining when we left.

Hope that helps.

It was very good temps on Tuesday with a light rain shower mid afternoon. There was a lot of general wetness coming through behind holds but if you towelled & chalked them fast enough and pulled through fast, you could get up stuff!

Ears was ok after drying as was inaudible, picnic sitter, move man...

Improper and Grand were wet near the top holds as were most low sitters and stuff like Bowderiser/coming up for air.

We stayed in the van overnight but it rained a lot, so we sacked it back to Merseyside through a wet S Lakes  :'(

things starting to look more promising at the stone today, small amount of seepage with just a few wet holds, (top holds on grand wet, footlocks on ears wet and all the usuals-coming up for air, bowderiser, undercut on picnic sit etc)

i reckon 2 more days of dry weather and it could be bone dry on the ladder face. Conditions were pretty still and greasy today, but the forecast looks amazing so fingers crossed.

Pretty much bone yesterday. Coming up for air a little damp and dampness on impropa. Should be sorted by today though.
 :dance1:

Pretty much dry today.
Impropa a little wet, coming up slightly damp.
Good conditions.

Puddle round back now just tacky mud!

Anyone been today or know if there's been enough rain for seepage? Hoping to get over early tomorrow. Thanks.

In really good condition today.  Most of the ladder face is fully dry and it should be fine tomorrow.

I'll go and have a look later on today or tomorrow but it has been raining up here constantly for 36 hours so I suspect it will start suffering.

Pretty much mint conditions today bar repeated loss of pads and ripping chunks out of my fingers, 99% dry.
