Stumbled across that History of Trance download on the Matt Hardwick forum. Seems to be mixed in key which is why the tracklisting moves around a bit. Very nice indeed.

Listening again, its a really creative mix. Lots of multiple tracks and using short segments to beef up other tracks. Its really good, like a Sasha mix for the Omen.

Funny you should mention Matt Hardwick. The lads who organise the event I mentioned managed somehow to get him to play at one of the gigs. I'm still not sure how to this day. A Gatecrasher resident playing to about 200 folk in a village hall just outside Keswick. Mental!

Bet that night was quality, small unusual venues are sometimes great as you can lose yourself within the music more easily.
Hardwick,Bond & Jules rocked as residents back then. Great music, fantastic people and many magical moments were had within those four walls.
Last year emailed Jules (was well bored) and told him about the route 'Judge Jules' over at the Roaches. He was really interested on how the climbing scene works.
Used to love Above & Beyond but over the last two years what they play doesn't really do much for me. The only dj/producer from back then who has still stayed true to the sound back then whilst still pushing the current scene is Solarstone. His podcasts are worth a listen.
One of his newest offerings.

By far the best imo. It's all about an intimate environment where the DJ isn't massively separated from everyone else. Can't believe Judge Jules actually responded to an E-Mail. I need a couple of tunes ID'ing (that he has played) as it happens...

And while im here:

Massively under rated.

Search HR 3 clubnight on Youtube

Svens from around 94-5 are pretty good. He had learnt to mix by then!

And now for something a little bit different. I've been listening to a lot of stuff by Embrionyc recently....it's filed under gabber/hardstyle but some of his stuff you could call industrial hard trance....classic euphoric / atmospheric trance melodies with some absolutely massive kickdrums, best listened to VERY loud....see what you think....

A brilliant classics mix by Matt Hardwick perfectly recorded with the right amount of volume of crowd participation.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some downloads/free podcasts a bit like this (but preferably with better mixing  :worms: and possibly less vocals ).   I need some new bike riding music and this stuff works pretty well  :please:

Passion, one of the Trance superclubs of the 90's shuts its doors for the last time next Sat. So glad I managed to grab a ticket for this. It sold out in 45 mins, 600 tickets were sold in the 1st 8 mins :o
This guy has done a good job putting together a set just under 6hrs of all the tracks which are associated with that dancefoor.

For those who enjoyed trance from the late 90's into the early 00's, this will be right up your street.

Mixed by a very old friend of mine, its 3 hours of mega trance.
