Ramboid - Curbar

Had another few goes at this yesterday. Rarely repeated and bloody desperate for 7b. Is it impossible if you are over 4 feet tall? Any beta much appreciated.

I don't remember this being desperate Jon. I flashed it fairly comfortably when Mike showed me it eons ago. I seem to remember I got my right heel on and sort of sat on it but you must be talking over 10 years ago!

That seems to vindicate jon's 4-foot theory.

Does anyone have a photo of this? I know it's supposed to be at the bottom of Janus, but I've wandered round here and couldn't see anything that looked like a mantel problem.

I might be short but I'm not that short! Robin the mantle is onto an obvious triangular hold. I would have said ledge but it's not really big enough to be called a ledge.

Don't suppose you remember if it was right heel on the main slippy ledge hold, or other smaller hold out right at same level?

R-man - it doesn't look like your typical mantel. It's basically one slippy ledgelet just above headheight on the crag itself directly underneath the groove of Janus.

Jon, I'm pretty sure it went on the main hold.

The rib just right (the start of Janus?) makes a nice problem too, it's about a 5c move.
