Where you riding this year then?
January 04, 2010, 03:29:37 pm
me, well I'm defo doing Snowdon again, probably late March time. Also going to try and get to the Alps for the first time, if having a babbie hasn't bankrupted us by then. Also get to know the Lakes a lot better, and possibly ride on Skye.

anymore for anymore?

That Skye bit on Earthed 4 (?) was cool...

I want to do Snowdon too, after your reports from last year.

Also just discovered GFs mate is now living in Mijas (nr Malaga) which has some great riding on the doorstep apparently.  Quite fancy that, and also maybe Lagos (Portugal, not Nigeria) for some DH action.

And then an Alpine trip too.  Thinking Livigno and Pila.

And maybe Finale in early Autumn.

Aberdeenshire, if I'm lucky. Might be up for some Skye shizzle later in year though.

I've got no major plans - I just want my fitness back, having had it destroyed by knee surgery over the summer and spending 6 months working in A&E. I've got until May - then our first baby arrives, so hope to fit some in before then.

Possibly a road trip to Spain or maybe some Cross-country around Denia.

Maybe some Sportives.

Laggan

Don't expect too much. It is very good, but also small, you can tick all the trails in less than a day. Good stopover on way to Golspie / Learnie Redrocks / Strathpeffer though.

Baby due in less than three weeks so can't really plan too far ahead.  Possibly/probably the Cheshire Cat, maybe Tour of the Peak again.  Have plans for a night ride in the Lakes (Hellvelyn, Skidaw or maybe a cheeky ride elsewhere) and a night ride on Benn Nevis (still in the planning), having done Snowdon in the dark this September.  Want to ride more at Wharncliffe too and in Wales generally as I had a lot of fun at Coed-y-Brennin recently.

If I get time that is.

there's a new red graded thing from the top of the gondola at fort william too john. 5-6km long and pretty much all descent - not far from Laggan.

I've heard pretty mixed reviews of that one Cofe, but I'll be trying it for sure.......

Since people run it in 21 hours surely it can be done on a bike in less?  But not by me.  Three days would be a good challenge.

 :o

Top quality uplifted partially man made downhill tracks which you can do on a 5" bike or above or cross country tracks round the footpaths you use to get to the crags.

Allegedly.
