Straight Outta Compton? 2001?  :spank: I'm sorry if you're talking Dr Dre & 1990s then surely it should be....

Anyway, my other favourites from the 90s:
Heaven or Las Vegas, Cocteau Twins
Debut, Bjork - nearly included Homogenic as well.
Black Sunday, Cypress Hill
Toward the Within, Dead Can Dance (live)
Violator, Depeche Mode
76:14, Global Communication
and/or Blue LInes & Protection, Massive Attack.
Loveless, My Bloody Valentine
Fat of the Land, Prodigy.
The Bends & OK Computer, Radiohead
Doggystyle, Snoop Dogg.
Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, The Sundays - really I could put all their albums on this list but the first edges the others out.
Blood, This Mortal Coil.

For goodness sake, DON'T start a thread on the 80s! :please:

Mercury Rev - Deserter's Songs
Bonnie Prince Billy - I see a Darkness

Stone Roses (that was 90's, wasn't it?)

Nope. Clue... there was a 20th anniversary edition released this year.
That should have given me a clue really, shouldn't it.   ;D

Can't believe I forgot Leftism.  :wall:

much as I love that album and has some all time solid gold bangers on it, it's just nowhere near as good an overall album as doggystyle or 2001. The quality really tails off in the back half.

Jane's Addiction - Ritual de lo habitual

and that - to be honest thought it was an 80's record but I am, as usual, wrong
3 days must be one of the best single tracks of the decade...

Fear not, he's pushing 60.  I had no idea it was 90s, I thought it would be much older, like the rest of the random music he demands as gifts, he must be feeling trendy this year.  8)

There was a bird on the radio the other day who said she liked "a lot of those old bands" from the mid nineties like Blur and Pulp because her Dad was into them.  :'(

Can't believe people are going for the prodigy and chemical brothers stuff, feels to me like they have dated. I couldn't listen to them now, except maybe Dig Your Own Hole.

Quite a few of the Albums on my list get listened to very rarely, if ever. Chose them on the basis of how much I liked them at the time, not now.
