Nibs, if you can name the band and tune I'll give you a wad.

Can I take this one now?

No.
Once my super(slow)-computer renders this video you'll be able to watch 2 punters at Thorn Crag.
I can confirm it was cold- I'm only just thawing out.  Thermometer in the car said -2 so the crag, in the wind, was BALTIC.

That says more about the quality of the climb than my climbing standards... Good problem but a bit lowball...  ;)

I may be wrong, but Burnt Heather is probably the most tried/done problem there.  I find it easy but it seems to cause more problems than it should, a bit like Strawberries I guess.  The day we went the first 2 holds (pocket and sidepull) were caked in a thick layer of chalk, with nothing above.  It's one of those that people try the first move over and over but never get anywhere with their bicycle feet.  I truly hope it doesn't suffer as a result (but I fear it will) as it's a great couple of moves.

Houd (welcome back by the way)- if you PowerBall a lot you may just manage it.  You'd like it I reckon.

25 minutes if you've the Himalayan hiking ability of Messner. Think 45 minutes for normal people

It must be those sparrow legs and sneaky ciggies  ;)

Worth the annual pilgrimage though..

Thought I'd better post this vid here too, so people can find it.  Sorry for the double posting.

A couple of bits from a day of rubbish conditions

Budmunk done as originally described (aka Lollygagger), not using the good undercut (hence the grade).

How quickly does Thorn dry out? Am keen for a visit over Xmas, or is it a bit breezy and blowy for this time of year?

Dries very quickly.
It can be super cold in Winter if there's a breeze.
