List Lunacy
December 07, 2009, 04:56:05 pm
This might be vaguely interesting for the more anally retentive list-lovers among us. Supposedly a list of all routes of 8c+/9a and above and the peeps that have climbed them. Ondras in the lead with 41!  :o Andradas coming in second with 33, though he does get 5 ticks for variants on Ali-Hulk. Silk-cut even warranted inclusion!

Lots and lots of errors with the UK stuff. Now if only r-man had done it  ;)

Sharma topping the F9bs tho ;)

And yeah I don't pay attention to lists unless r-man has been on the case.

Magnus Mitbö is not Swedish.

Echo Wall could well be 8c+/9a? Non?

i really wonder which was the "big band" that neil carson named his route after: the rolling stones? deep purple? or maybe the beatles, being that close.

He could have used A Muerte I guess? That seems to have settled at 8c+/9a unless Paul thought that was piss too?!

None of the above, the article is wrong as Carson named it after the cataclysmic event that bought the Universe into existence, The Big Bang

Its a motorcycle engine as far as I'm aware. Don't have the foggiest why one would be stuck halfway up a sport route though. :)
