I'm replacing the rotten wooden guttering at the top of my house, does anyone have any 7m+ long ladders I could borrow please?

You can borrow my set of triple ladders if you want Jim. I've got a what-not for attaching it to a roofrack/bars an'all.
Just let us know when you want 'em.

Cheers Nik, will give you a shout.
Could you measure them for me please as they have to be 7m+, preferably 8m

Just measured, each section is 4 metres -ish. Three sections, it will comfortably get to 8 metres. It's long enough to get onto our roof...

best to check though, it's hard to judge the size of things that are far away.

 :great:

will be in touch soon.

Now I've got 4 projects on the go at the same time - redecorate the dinning room, fit bathroom in cellar, paint outside of house and fit new gutter to top of house.
You wouldn't of thought we're expecting a 2nd child in 7 weeks    ???

Other option is to look around and see if anyone has a set of softracks for carrying surfboards. My lass's dad uses ours for carrying long ladders medium distance on his car. I have a set, but be a bit if a pain getting them to you. Falling Down may have some? Might be worth asking on seperate thread.

This kind of stuff

Hi Jim,

When we recently bolted The Diamond on the Little Orme we used a ladder for some of the lower bolts.
I just tied it onto the roof of my car by putting my smaller bouldering pads between the ladder and the roof and then tying around through the open windows.
Not as good a roof rack obviously, but it did the job.
I've also got a baby due last Friday. God, the cave will be like a creche when it stops raining!

Catch you soon
Tommy
