Anyone got any good tips, even stretching to bunkhouses.......

Criteria, must be near a good pub, no need for showers or anything like that.

How close is close? Walking distance?

After exploring just about every campsite in the area, we use use this one most of the time now

Got pissed off with paying a fortune for camping, having campsites overrun with noisy poultry, regimented C&C sites run by mini Hitlers etc.

This one is laid back, clean and quiet, cheap, has basic but adequate washing up and washing facilities and has a lovely beach next door. Only downside is there is no pub in walking distance.

That's probably the key requirement a good pub within walking distance.

stayed a while back now but was real good. pub is 5mins away through a field. the guy gave us a lift round in his van when we stayed and had a pint with us. know people who've stayed more recently and still good. just off A1, 10mins drive to kyloe blah.
