You could run a dual boot system or as I already suggested run Windows under a Virtual Machine if you have to run those programs (and I'd hedge my bets that there are native alternatives, some of which I've mentioned, which would fulfil your needs).

I'm not trying to convert you, but you asked and I've provided some suggestions, and without trying it out yourself you'll never be able to make an informed decision.

it's just, well, I want life to be eaaassy!  :kiss1:

But you'll still have to maintain any other operating system, its one of the inherent features of running a secure and up-to-date system.

 :off:  Right, back on track!

I'm still thinking that Asus N73 looks like it ticks all the boxes and other than more expensive Macbooks, and desktops, there doesn't seem to be many other superior options being thrown forward.

Might just have to order that one and report back.

You going to stick Win7 on it?  :tease:

I'm not convinced yet by tablets, but then whilst I own a laptop I still prefer to be hunched over my desk in the study when I'm doing computing stuff rather than balancing a computer on my lap laid back in the sofa with the distractions of the wife and tv.  :geek:
