The Archives
October 01, 2009, 09:37:54 am
Some of you may have stumbled across the vids of grit problems I've started releasing on my vimeo page.  I've had this footage on my hard drive for over 2 years and I recently came to the conclusion that it was time I did something with it.  So after numerous requests for copies of my footage, I've decided that alongside releasing the problems individually, I'll cut it into a film and distibute it Doylo style on DVD with a load of extra material.  Here's a trailer for what I've dubbed The Archives.

I apologise for keeping this psyche up material to myself for so long! For a load of extra blurb and a problem list check out my blog www.increasingthecalibre.blogspot.com

Hmmm this looks pretty cool actually, plenty of Yorkshire action and I like the clarity of the filming of the problems.

Haha, I know the thing is each time you type it it's a hell of a lot shorter.  That's my only real reason to be honest, every second counts in the big smoke  ;)

Glad to hear it's got people psyched.  I'll keep releasing short vids over the coming months and then the DVD should be ready by early 2010.

Fiend's just psyched that you're using an inaccurate and unnecessary grading system. If there's any footage in the film of people wearing socks in rock shoes or eating Bacon and Egg McMuffins then he'll have a fucking orgasm.

Looks good. I'll be down for a preorder. Don't wanna watch the spoilers though. I'll save it for a proper sit down viewing when the actual dvd is out. If something looks like it might be proper good it's a pity to waste it watching 10x5cm when I should be doing something else.
Well, apart from the spoiler I've just watched of course, hmm maybe I will just watch them...

Haha, Musselbrook in fancy dress never fails to amuse me.  We shot it on a Z1, PD150 and a smaller camera with a fish eye lense.

Think Nizza may have been a little bit busy with covering the GE.

I'm afraid Stubbs is right I've been a little bit busy over the last two months with the election.  Now it feels like things are calming down a bit I'll finish this little bad boy off as soon as I can.  All the sections are cut, it just needs tinkering with.  It's not groundbreaking footage, but hopefully it will give people a little bit of psyche to get out on the gritstone - something I have well and truly lost over the past months!

I have to say the original cut of Stew on Voyager is one of the best climbing shorts I've seen. Top notch.
