New V11/8A at Porth Ysgo
February 04, 2010, 05:24:49 pm
Mick Adams (plus a large Scouse contingent down for Fatneck's birthday bash) blitzed the crag last weekend, producing a series of exciting new problems:

Impressive stuff!  :great:

There is a randy bull in the field above the cliff, spoke to the farmer, hes moving it soon. Would recommend leaving it a few weeks before going down!

The problems are all good lines and the one that I did; The Uncle, is utterly fantastic.  Me and Mick were stoked to f*ck to do it having looked at it a few times over the years but never got round to trying it.  It's a really big line with a totally wild cut loose and then cool and scary moves up the upper arete to finish (the photo doesn't do it justice at all).  Get to it.  Not this weekend though, tides are crap.  And obviously the "randy bull" may put people off for a bit.  ;)  In fact, why not just go to the Orme instead.

These additions were definately one of the highlights of the trip, along with top company, amazing/bizarre weather and great conditions! Good effort Mike!

A coward you are nodder; an expert on bulls, you are not!  ;) obviously the advice to anyone who encounters said bull should be 'run at it, shouting!'

do not underestimate the bovine knowledge of yr arglwydd dafydd ianto noden cynt o pen y cefn, rhosmeirch. He is a true joscyn and spent his childood wrestling bulls and practicing the ancient art of 'cario bels'. what he says about cows goes.

Also, joskin jocking aside, this looks awesome Mick - well spotted.  The only line I've ever looked at here is the FN Roof itself.  Looking forward to a visit ASAP!
