I bought this rope for abseiling which I thought was a good idea at the time. I only abseiled with it twice while checking out a few routes at my local crag.
I don't have the recipt as I wasn't planning on getting rid of it.

Sounds totally legit to me, you have me convinced by your climbing knowledge and plausible explanations.

I bought the rope for a purpose and then I didn't use it anywhere near as much I thought I would.

it cost me £110 so I think asking £60 for a starting price and now £50 plus postage is very reasonable.
and then you get Muppet's like sloper who have accused me of being a thief and I have come on here trying to sell the things I have stolen. this I can guarantee is not true.
all the items I am selling have been purchased legally by me, some of them I have used some of them I have not, I have decided I no longer want or need certain items and now I wish to sell them. is there anything wrong with that? no there isn't

A little SCIENCE.
First (and only) place I looked it's £1.65/metre.
Now I'm no brain scientist, but that's £82.50 for 50m (with free postage).
You're after £60 £50 plus about £8.22 postage for first class parcel depending on size contraints (please forgive the approximation I'm working on the weight of the rope being 65g per metre and I'm not counting packinging to keep it simple).
So that's at best a theoretical saving of £24.28, sounds good.
But static or not I like to know the history of my ropes, so that's little financial recompense to ease my worried mind.
But, (impoverished as I am) I'd rather sell my arse on the streets of Leeds and raise the extra cash than buy a rope off you.
However you are very entertaining so please write back.

the rope is perfectly fine, I bought it from new and I have only abseiled on it twice. it still has the rope end markers on it as you would expect and it is also in perfect condition. I could even post photos of the rope to prove it's condition if you would like.
so if you would rather pay an extra £24.28 for a new rope instead of saving money buying a second hand one then please feel free.
as for selling your arse on the streets of Leeds, that's something you will have to decide for yourself.
