I am off to Silverstone to blast a Ferrari 360 about for a while this Saturday. I am not really familiar with the surrounding area's so was wondering if anyone from that part of the world could recommend anywhere? I will have to stop down on Saturday night with a view to going out to sample some local night life. The nearest places thrown up on Google are Northampton and Milton Keynes but I know nothing of these places having never visited.

Any good pubs clubs etc? Hotel wise I'm looking for something up to about £75ish. Cheers in advance.

I used to live in that neck of the woods and I'd recommend the Royal Oak in Eydon, decent beer, food and I think they do accommodation.

Avoid Nothamptonshire and MK like catching ebola from an aids ridden crack whore.

Plus there's plenty of good driving roads between there and Silverstone (don't blame me if you ditch it)
