It was originally on BBC (I've had it stored on my TiVo box for months):

https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0009dzp

A google suggests it's now on Netflix.

Re giri haji, I lost interest half way through, perhaps I should give it another go.
Finally got around to watching Giri / Haji.
The man who pitched it and asked for funding must have had a helluva gift of the gab!
Interesting that you assume that it was a man who pitched it; but anyway, I think it was partly funded by Netflix,  compared to whatever they pay the likes of the Obamas and Harry and Meghan I'm sure they'll bung a few dollars at anything, as it hardly makes a difference.

Blimey, I loved Giri / Haji - a really brave bit of commissioning for sure, and it paid off.

Also featuring UKB-er Gus as a stuntman in one of the action sequences (not the guy who smacks someone with a ham I'm guessing)...

The Boys S2 starts tomorrow and the excellent 00s Battlestar Galactica is coming to iPlayer soon.

Some good films on iPlayer at the moment too.

The fantastic When We Were Kings is on iPlayer. Watched it again last night and it was even better than I remembered. If you haven't seen it is well worth it, one of the best sporting/historical documentaries ever made.

So ep 5 of the boys out today...

I thought the first two episodes were slow - and thought oh dear... but it seems they were more set ups/character development and Eps 3 and 4 have been good.

How come A Train and The Deep can't go anywhere without their uniforms on yet Starlight can slip into something more comfortable and slip away to meet Hughie as Annie?
And doesn't get recognised even though she was outed as Annie in S1?

Because she wants to, but they like their supe recognition (esp A Train)?

She doesn't get recognised the same way as Clark Kent doesn't.

Just got with the flow..

When A train was injured (leg) he went into a shop in plain clothes in one scene. The Deep needs to keep his gills in order obvs.

I’m waiting to see the baby with home lander death rays being pointed around like a ray gun by Butcher - it was in one of the trailers/previews I’m sure.

That’s in the first season, maybe episode 3 or so?

I'm sure itll have been mentioned before etc but

That Storyville Palio doc was on bbc4 the other night. Really great filmmaking and gripping climax. Loved it.

Also watched this thing on saturday called the beach: isolation in paradise. Ambient, slow, mundane, beautiful, I couldn't stop watching it. I can froth more but it probably isn't for everyone.

Ah that sounds right up my street. In a similar vein, very much enjoyed this half hour doc on a photographer spending forty days and nights in the desert looking for the new sound:

Really enjoyed that.
Went looking to see if one or two of the photos at the end are available. Prices I could find seem to be from £7,500 to contact for price. It was a nice idea.

Loved Salt. Experienced similar places for short periods, they seem other worldly.
