anyone been to kefalonia?
July 27, 2009, 05:04:27 pm
the bird and me are off to kefalonia for two weeks, she will be lying in the sun and I will be bored off my tits,
so I have just decided that I might as well bugger off bouldering.

it will be my first time away from the indoor climbing wall!

I suppose all I need is my shoes and chalk, but what would I do for a mat?? should I take a helmet??? (haven't bought on yet)

I didn't find much there to be honest. Theres a bit on Scala beach which might keep you busy for a couple of hours. I was only on the island for a couple of days as I was staying on a smaller island nearby (ithaca). Found quite a bit of DWS there on pretty good rock. The rock feels like limestone but i'm no geologist and is very sharp.

Deep Water Soloing mate. Climbing above the sea with no equipment. Using the ocean like one big bouldering pad.
