Nice. have noticed he studiously avoids bouldering pics in his books. Shame as some of bouldering spots in HK would make great images.

Cheers, caught on camera too, what a coincidence!

Was quite nice as the FB area was pretty quiet all evening.

Hey Stu, is that rock granite? Wierd, looks like granite but in a columnar formation.

...is that rock granite?

Not granite, more likely something in the diorite/andesite family - there's similar stuff in parts of Tasmania. Of course without a sample in hand I stand to be corrected!

I've seen pics of the stuff in Tassie and on S Island NZ, but it doesn't look as much like Granite as that.

it's a volcanic tuff (welded fine ash lapilli tuff to be more precise) - apparantly forms part of a supervolcano according to recent findings by the Geological Survey out here

Two tries  :o

Don't know why people bother putting borders on picture, it almost worthy of the photoshop hall of fame.  If I want a border I'll print a picture out and put in a frame!

Anyway, no big numbers, but was pleased with how these shots of my friend leading Jesters Cracks at Ashop Edge on Sunday came out...

I'm loving my new 10-20mm Sigma cheers to SteG  :)

Also playing around at Millstone yesterday I passed my camera to my friend and he snapped this of me taking a hands free rest on Eros.  No photoshopping here at all, he hadn't realised the lens creeps when between the extremities of the zoom and you have to hold it to stop it doing this.  Certainly not a quality pic, but I quite liked it.

Brings back some happy memories. Good effort on Wings, it looks like he's got a long way to go.

Bloody hell! I think downclimbing all that way would be much harder than seeing off the next couple of moves to the break. By the point he's at I had lost all hope of surviving but for some reason I kept going. He'll have to do it all over again now.
