Remember looking up at it in about 1995 and discussing and contemplating potential. took 11 years for someone to get the drill out! Shows how much there is still to be climbed there.

Working on the headwall cracks, Longhope Route, Hoy with the 7pm from Stromness ferry heading by far below.

Looks immense and with an 8c+ headwall on top of 18 pitches will be an immense effort

I kind of like the bush, it frames it a little. It is a knee brace.

I've got some photos like that of me on Riders on the Storm at Pembroke. Got my brother to take the pics and, as a non-climber, he wouldn't go near the edge of the zawn and had to sit down before he was happy to take pics.

Hope knee gets sorted.

The sadist is going back for a second round to get it cleanly as he had to rest and work out how to do the final section/top-out which was a real shame as he cruised it up to that point.
