Dave Graham on an 8c in Rodellar
The route is called Cossi Fan Tutti at Piscineta which is in the Alcanadre gorge ie the next valley south of the Mascun (Rodellar´s main climbing area). You have to do a long hike to get there or hire a boat and row up a gorge to get to it, but it´s well worth the effort as the crag is perhaps the most impressive bit of rock in the area, with awesome totally unpollished lines.
<heavy name dropping alert> As it happens I belayed Ethan Pringle on said route, he was looking good on the onsight, getting to the 17th of 23 clips, before being spat off when a foot long section of tufa snapped off!!

Quote from: 8a.nu
Stefan Wulf, 37, has, during this summer and fall, been responsible for a revival of hard trad climbing in Sweden.

After making the first repeat of Leo Holding's Savage Horse, E9 6c (7c+), at Häller in May and a "shallow water solo" ascent of Elefantsprickan, 8a+, at Lake Rudan, in August, he returned to Häller where he repeated Walk the line, E8 6?(8a), and established Masculine, E9 6b (7c+)and Dreadline, E8/9 6c (8a). Maybe it's time to tell Dave McLeod to pop over? Picture by Shawn Boye

Jules is the dude
Just thumbing the FAs list in the back of the new Cairngorms Guide make you realise how much of a "dude" he really is. Hard scary climbs in really remote places.

That a pretty good photo shop effort Stu - for a moment there it almost looked like youd actually donned a harness and tied in  ;). Good effort ticking it - that moves still thwarting me

CF - I didn't tick it but i did manage the moves, so maybe next time.   :)

Chris - Not guilty. Its the Glen, that place is one big tick mark.

Andy - Yeah its a short (15 moves maybe) 27. Its more like 7c (7a ish to a V5 crux).

Cheers. Looks almost similar to the stuff at the Holywood Bowl. Except made of Sandstone. And in the southern hemisphere. So not a lot like Holywood bowl at all...

probably some penalty slack for not belaying properly . it's all those things that make sportclimbing so much more fun.

It was me belaying. Theres actually not that much out as what you can see is all the slack there is. The move is dynamic pop left and if you look at the quickdraw by his waist you'll see theres not much rope out there and who wants to be pulled up short on a move by their belayer.

Yeah - I was on it again yesterday and failed to link it. I keep fucking up the the cross from the crimp to the first good edge on the slopey ramp. The move to pocket jug coming off the ramp is nicer than when I was last on it a couple of weeks ago as a flake has broken off leaving a nice left foot edge meaning you can lay your knee on.  :)
